Happy Camper

I am such a HAPPY CAMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday Ben bought me a camper! I have been wanting one for a couple years and now I own one and it's even more than I hoped for!

When I started looking at campers, I like the size of a pop-up for hauling, but I also like the hard sides of a travel trailer. Well, I ended up getting this hard sided pop-up and I couldn't be happier! It's actually quite old (1973) but all I was hoping for was a 'tent on wheels' and this is even better than that, because it has air!! Yippee! The previous owner 'rigged' an air conditioner in it, so I am quite happy about that.

It's a 1973 Apache. My vintage classic. I absolutely love it and I can't wait to start using it.

I've already named it too - 'Mint Julep' (thanks Noelle!) . It's named after a song that I like. I have heard that it's a drink too, so I may have to try that someday. :-)

These are the only pics I have right now. It's at a friends house. Her husband is able to fix some things on it that need repair so I will be getting more pics soon when we open it back up. I will be sure to blog them for you.

I'll keep you updated!!! S'mores on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Oh I am so happy for you, I know how much you wanted a camper. That looks like one that we almost purchased new back in the mid 70's - you will have so much fun and wonderful memories. So when do we go camping??? Just kidding!!!

  2. Thanks Auntie! Had you bought it, it could be worth the same price! I hear they hold their value although I only paid $475, LOL!

  4. Two big YIPPEES!! One for the comment you left, and the other for the camper! How cute... can't wait to see the inside. Back when I was younger and my family went camping, we only had a tent (it was a HUGE tent). I remember thinking all the people who had campers were the luckiest people in the world. So, we should be seeing some pretty cool posts this summer?!?
