14 & Counting....

(This was my wedding song, so I thought I'd post it. There were a couple other versions but seeing as it all started in high school for us, and, this was by far the most entertaining, I thought I'd use this one! ((If only she were wearing a bandana instead of a hat...)) Check out the cell phones! )

Happy 14th Anniversary to my best friend! You've been my best friend since 10th grade and I'm so thankful that our friendship turned into a marriage! Thank you for loving me for me... for working through the 'better' times and the 'worst' times...for caring for me as dearly as you did this past year of my sickness, you rose above and beyond any expectation I could have hoped for during that time...thank you for being such a great provider and protector...thank you for you humor and perserverance...thank you for being such a great daughter-daddy...thank you for my new camper!...and thank you for loving me as Christ loves the Church and gave himself for it. I am blessed beyond measure! I love you, Flilip!

Is It A Sign?

Have you ever killed time by hitting that little button up above that says, 'next blog'? I do, more often than I should, seeing as I am strapped for time as it is. (Technically, I shouldn't be blogging right now, I should be putting away all this laundry I just folded).
Anyway, I've noticed a strange trend. Usually the blogs that come up all have a theme. If I post anything 'religious' at all, I will get pastor's blogs, or any type of uplifting, spiritual, blog. Other times, I it sends me to 'mom' type blogs. These blogs make sense, because whatever is tracking me in the right 'genre'.
What I don't understand is why 9 times out of 10 it sends me to cyclying blogs. Why is that? What have I said that would think I am a cyclist? Or for that matter, physically active at all :-). I would like to be more physically active. I used to be an athlete....hmmmm. Maybe this computer thing is SO intuitive, it can read my desires....although, I certainly never wished to ride ridiculous amounts of miles on a bicycle. If it could read my desires it would send me to camping blogs.
Maybe it's trying to tell me something...maybe it's a sign.
I'd better get an even bigger padded seat on my old fender bike!

Go ahead...you know you wanna do it....'next......'

Turning Over A New Leaf

This is a pic of my surprisingly tasty veggie burger sandwich with a beautiful butter lettuce bun! I've been learning some new truths about food and have been making a move (slow and turtle-like) in a new direction. Juice-ing, smooth-ie-ing, raw food-ing, and most importantly, fasting. Never would have thought I might enjoy that stuff, but, surprisingly I am (starting to). What a difference the truth makes!

It's still an uphill battle, but I feel like I am carrying more ammo now! I'll share more pics of my tasty new treats!

This Is Why I Don't Do Facebook

I'm slacking again, I know.
I have so much to blog about. There's still the rest of our Florida trip, the girls birthdays, some field trips, my recent trip to California.... I am so behind.
It's because I'm busy, and not too great at time management.

So for anyone who checks back on this once and awhile (Lola), I will try to update asap.

This is why I don't do facebook (well, almost the whole reason anyway). I would either have a hard time keeping up, or I would have a new addiction. I don't need another one of those!!

Pool Time Fun With Papa

My parents had a heated pool at their condo, and the girls enjoyed it as often as they could. They loved when Papa would take a dip with them because he taught them so many new things! By the time we left, Jordyn was doing the backstroke and Drew was jumping in by herself and learning to float on her back (this was huge for her as she has been rather afraid of the water until recently).
Thanks for everything, Papa!!!! ---->now come home already :-) !!

Love the palm trees!!!!!

Lion Country Safari

One of the places Papa & Mi-Mi took us was to the Lion Country Safari. What an awesome place. There were so many great animals to see, and most were quite active with such a beautiful day. They would just walk across the road right in front of the car. There is also a water park and amusement park. It was a great time that we followed up with a picnic lunch.

This is Drew's favorite part, by far. She adores giraffes and had such a great experience being able to be so close to them and feed them!

This rhino was about 30 feet away from our car, which mom did not like at all. She gave dad the 'get out of dodge' look as it started to inch closer to us. She was terrified that it would come at the car. We all thought she was hilarious. Then, as always, she proves her point when she finds out that our aunt's car was head-butted by a rhino at that same safari.

Speaking of butts!

Nothing says, "Florida" like a man-made waterfall!

To our surprise Mi-Mi & PaPa rode the ferris wheel! Dad said he had some bad memories of his older sister (aka Auntie Collette) rocking the last ferris wheel he was on. But, he was not as 'white knuckled' as my mom. Wish I could have got her death grip in the picture.

Gotta have a gator pic!
Look hard and you will see Jordyn, Drew, & Papa. (You might need to click on the pic).

More to come...................................
